get_by_outer_text

get_by_outer_text($outer_text,$exactly=true,$frame=-1); - this function is used to get the DOM interface of a page element by finding it from the specified external text or part of it.

Available from version 4.9.40

The function accepts parameters as input:

  • $outer_text – internal text that we use to find the element we need on the page (string). To find out the internal text of an element, you can use either the element inspector or the context menu, or view it in the list of elements.
  • $exactly – exact match of the external text when searching for an element (boolean), by default true - the external text of the element must completely match the passed parameter ($outer_text). if this parameter is set as false, the first element with the specified string in the external text will be found ($outer_text).
  • $frame – the number of the frame in which we are looking for the element (string). Frame numbers start from zero. By default, -1 - the element is not in the frame. You can find out the number of the frame that contains the item you need from the task inspector, the context menu, and the item list panel.
    With version 4.6.41 of postpone: you can pass nested frames, the principle is the same, a string is numbered frames separated by : for example, if you transfer "1:0:5" - will the selected frame number 1 in it under the frame with the number 0 and the subframe number 5
    Since version 7.0.38, you can pass "url=>XXX", then search for the frame that contains the specified src, or pass "name=>XXX" - then the frame will be searched by the specified part of the name.

    After testing, the function returns the result of its work to the script :
  • DOM element interface – an object that allows you to quickly perform any operations with the found element, the return value type XHEInterface

    PHP example:

    <?php $xhe_host = "127.0.0.1:7014";

    //connect the object to control the emulator, if not already connected
    if(!isset($path))
       $path = "../../../Templates/xweb_human_emulator.php";
    require($path);

    //Start
    echo "<hr> <font color = blue> anchor->".basename(__FILE__)."</font> <hr>";

    //1
    echo "1.Let's go to the polygon:";
    echo $browser->navigate("http://humanemulator.net/poligon/anchor.html")."<br>";

    //2
    echo "2.Get x and y from link c \u0022 Automotive site  "and click on it:";
    $obj = $anchor->get_by_outer_text("Automotive Site");
    echo $obj->get_x()."".$obj->get_y()."";
    echo $obj->click()."<br>";

    //end
    echo "<hr> <br>";

    //Quit
    $app->quit();
    ?>

    Python example:

    # Additional paths
    import sys
    sys.path.insert(0, '../../../Templates PY/')

    xhe_host = "127.0.0.1:7010"
    from xweb_human_emulator import *

    # Start
    echo("<hr> <font color = blue> common.get_by_outer_text </font> <hr>")

    # 1
    echo("1.Let's go to the polygon:")
    echo(browser.navigate("http://www.humanemulator.net/poligon/anchor.html"), "<br>")

    # 2
    echo("2.Get x and y from link c \ u0022Automotive site \ u0022 and click on it:")
    obj = anchor.get_by_outer_text("Automotive Site")
    echo(obj.get_x(), "")
    echo(obj.get_y(), "")
    echo(obj.click(), "<br>")

    # end
    echo("<hr> <br>")

    # Quit
    app.quit()

    server = "127.0.0.1:7070";
    InitXHE();

    //Start
    echo("<hr> <font color = blue> get_by_inner_text </font> <hr>");

    //1 step
    echo("1.Let's go to the polygon:");

    //step 2
    echo("2.Get the x and y from the link with the outer text \u0022 Automotive site  "and click on it:");
    XHEInterface obj = anchor.get_by_outer_text("Automotive Site");

    echo(obj.click() + "<br>");

    //end
    echo("<hr> <br>");

    app.quit();
    }
    }

    Java Script example:

    //connect the object to control the emulator, if not already connected
    xhe_host = "127.0.0.1:7010";
    echo = require("../../../Templates JS/xweb_human_emulator.js");

    //Start
    echo("<hr> <font color = blue> anchor.get_by_inner_text </font> <hr>");

    //1 step
    echo("1.Let's go to the polygon:");

    obj = anchor.get_by_inner_text("Automotive Site");
    echo(obj.get_x() + "" + obj.get_y() + "");
    echo(obj.click() + "<br>");
