event

event($event,$wait_browser=true); - sends the specified event via the DOM model to the
element
The function accepts parameters as input:

  • $event – event that will be sent to the found element (string). For example, "onmousemove","onchange","onkeydown","onkeyup" , etc. A complete list of events and their descriptions can be found for example here.
  • $wait_browser – check and wait for navigation to finish (available from version 7.0.20)

    After the function returns the result of their work in the script (the return value type is boolean):
  • true – executed successfully
  • false to find this element failed (e.g. no items that meet the specified criteria or not this frame)

    PHP example:

    <?php $xhe_host = "127.0.0.1:7014";

    //connect the object to control the emulator, if not already connected
    if(!isset($path))
       $path = "../../../Templates/xweb_human_emulator.php";
    require($path);

    //Start
    echo "<hr> <font color = blue> interface->".basename(__FILE__)."</font> <hr>";

    //1
    echo "1.Let's go to the polygon:";
    echo $browser->navigate("http://humanemulator.net/poligon/input.html")."<br>";

    //2
    echo "2.Send an onclick event to an element named Name1:";
    echo $input->get_by_name("Name1")->event("onclick")."<br>";

    //3
    echo "3.Send an onclick event to an element named Name1 in frame zero and get its dimensions:";
    $obj = $input->get_by_name("Name1", 0);
    echo $obj->event("onclick")."".$obj->get_width()."".$obj->get_height()."<br>";

    //end
    echo "<hr> <br>";

    //Quit
    $app->quit();
    ?>

    Python example:

    # Additional paths
    import sys
    sys.path.insert(0, '../../../Templates PY/')

    xhe_host = "127.0.0.1:7010"
    from xweb_human_emulator import *

    # Start
    echo("<hr> <font color = blue> interface.xxxxxxxxx </font> <hr>")

    # 1
    echo("1.Let's go to the polygon:")
    echo(browser.navigate("http://www.humanemulator.net/poligon/input.html"), "<br>")

    # 2
    echo("2.Send an onclick event to an element named Name1:")
    echo(input.get_by_name("Name1", true) .event("onclick"), "<br>")

    # 3
    echo("3.Send an onclick event to an element named Name1 in frame zero and get its dimensions:")
    obj = input.get_by_name("Name1", 0)
    echo(obj.event("onclick"), "")
    echo(obj.get_width(), "")
    echo(obj.get_height(), "<br>")

    # end
    echo("<hr> <br>")

    # Quit
    app.quit()
